The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said Monday that a report was received by the Aqaba Police Department regarding the discovery of the body of a 20-year-old victim.

According to the PSD, the man was stabbed to death with a sharp object. The spokesperson added that the body was transferred to forensic medicine.

After investigations, authoritites identified the murderer and the public prosecutor decided to detain him for 15 days in a correction and rehabilitation center for the crime of premeditated murder until he is officially charged.
